
Ketek
Ketek is in a class of antibiotics known as ketoldis. Ketek can be used for a wide variety of conditions such as chronic Bronchitis, acute bacterial sinusitis, and pneumonia. It was first approved in the United States in April 2004. Since this time there have been at least 53 adverse events reported by the FDA.
The use of Ketek can result in kidney and liver toxicity. Some of the liver toxicity symptoms include:
- dark urine
- Jaundice (yellowing of the skin)
- nausea
- vomiting
- severe fatigue
